This Weekend Warriors Fight Hunger  #lincolnwarriorpride #iamepisd

Lincoln Middle School is teaming up with Bake For Goods to make a difference in our community. She had an assembly for Lincoln’s 6th graders for a lesson on how to bake bread. This weekend, Lincoln’s 6th grade students will be sent home with a bag with all the ingredients to make two loaves of fresh bread. One loaf is to enjoy with the family and the other will be returned to school Monday to be donated to a local food pantry.

The activity was planned as part of Lincoln’s IB Program that encourages community service opportunities for students.

Lincoln’s Active Learning Leader Ms. Harrell explained, “This is an excellent opportunity for helping many others, and also a way for these children to learn, such as baking the bread.” Lincoln Middle School was joined with other schools, such as Morehead and Richardson, on this very important event. A big thank you to Ms. Libby Treadyway, Ms. Harrell, and all the other teachers and volunteers that helped with this Food Drive.
