The lock-in is an event held every year on a Friday where people stay up with their friends and have fun, the lock-in starts at 12:00 am and ended at 6:00 am and the location was at Peter Piper Pizza. The 8th graders had their own lock-in on the 9th of February. The lock-in is a time where you can hang out with your friends for 6 hours. When the lock-in starts, no one is able to enter or exit the building unless an emergency occurs.  Most of the kids usually brings extra money because not every game is free. The food they supply at the lock-in is pizza and a drink. The food is unlimited so they could have eaten pizza the whole night. PTA members and Mrs. Appel supervised the lock-in throughout the night. We interviewed students who went to the lock-in. We asked if you would get bored during the lock-in. 8th grader Karen Carillo, said “yes eventually, around 4” and another said, “when we ran out of money, we just had to sit at the tables” (money to play games). Another person named Ashley Morales, said “the games were fun but when we ran out of money we went to the tables and we were bored so we played truth or dare for the rest of the night.” She also said that “my friends and I were but everyone there seemed like they had fun” We also went around asking people if they went or didn’t. If they didn’t we asked why didn’t they go and most of them said that I didn’t go since it was too early or a waste of money. When we asked the people that did go the said that it was fun being with their friends but it was pretty boring.
