Lincoln Middle School lead  the way in EPISD’s El Paso Cares Campaign to collect donations for those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.  For two weeks students, staff, and families joined forces to collect personal care items to be distributed to victims of natural disasters.  Lincoln Middle School received reusable bags from the Junior League of El Paso for families to transport their donations to school.  More than 70 student volunteers spent hours organizing and bagging the supplies.  In total more than 4,700 items were collected.  The instant impact project collected:

980 feminine hygeine products
801 diapers
617 bars of soap
549 toothbrushes
318 tubes of toothpaste
279 hairbrushes
276 bottles of shampoo/conditioner
217 deodorants
147 packages of baby wipes
125 jars of baby food
113 containers of wipes
76 rolls of toilet paper
72 misc items (hair ties, body spray, baby formula)
56 floss
46 bottles of hand sanitizer
44 bottles of lotion
35 boxes of facial tissue
15 containers of Q-Tips
